About our School and our Staff
The Vanessa Millar School of Dancing is an I.S.T.D. Approved dance
school and also offers teacher training through The Dance Teacher Training Centre.

We are dedicated to teaching to the highest grades in Ballet, Tap, Acro and Jazz. We follow the ISTD Syllabus, and also have classes for Musical Theatre, Singing, Salsa, Contemporary and Pilates. Pupils do not have to participate in all of the school's activities. The taking of exams, entering of competitions and participation in shows is determined by the principal, dependant on the ability of the pupil and Parent / Pupil choice.
All the staff at Vanessa Millar are CRB checked and the teachers are all first aiders. Vanessa and her staff take many courses themselves to continually improve the service they offer. Vanessa feels that if the teachers are right then the children will be right.
Vanessa offers as much as possible to the students, with different types of dance and also auditions as they come up. The Patrons of the school are actively involved, with Tuesdays Tap sessions with Dereck Hartley, and musical theatre with Steve Prichett on a saturday.
School Opening Times

About this Website
This website is a tool to enable communication with current school
members and their families. It is also a means to attract newcomers to
the school. Communication is 2-way - we will publish information,
newsworthy items, diary dates, times and prices, and we would like you
to give us feedback via the Contact page.
We will also publish photographs of pupils that represent the
school at shows, excel in exams, or win 'Most Improved' awards. This is
to encourage participation and pride in the school and to reward
individual achievment. We are aware of the issues of child protection,
and will not publish images that are in any way indecent, nor will we
publish contact information for any of the pupils. Any pupils or parents
that object to their photographs being used on this website should
contact the Principal.
